No fewer than two policemen lost their lives on Monday morning when some suspected hoodlums razed Zone 13 Police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra state.
It was gathered that no less than four vehicles have also been burnt while fire fighters have arrived to put out the inferno.
The development has heightened tension across the State.
The incident occurred at Ifite, Awka South local government area, while the other person was killed at Unizik junction.
The circumstances behind the attack is not yet clear, but a video made by a police officer on duty at the zonal headquarters showed the administrative building of the headquarters going up in flames as a result of the attack.
A source who travelled through the headquarters, which is situated along Enugu-Onitsha expressway, confirmed that there was pandemonium at the place as motorists drove by.
