The university lecturer, Professor Yinka Adegbehingbe who was kidnapped along Ibadan road Ikoyi/Apomu axis of the State of Osun has been released without payment of ransom.
Adegbehingbe who is from the department of Orthopaedic Surgery of the Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife was kidnapped on Sunday by unknown gunmen and has been release with the help of Nigerian police on Monday.
In statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary of Ooni of Ife, Comrade Moses Olafare on Monday confirmed the release of the university Don.
According to him, Adegbehingbe is now in the proper care of Nigeria police adding that he has not spoke with any of his family since he was rescued.
Olafare commended the Nigerian police authority for the work well done adding that Prof. Adegbehingbe was returning from Lagos to Ile-Ife before he ran into kidnappers.
