Going further, the group added that if the election is allowed to stand, 2023 and Ondo state election next year will be a bloodbath.
Following alleged vote buying and high level of violence that trail the election held in Kogi state, the Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room has called for the total cancellation of the exercise.
According to The Situation Room, in a statement sighted by Legit, the Kogi election represents a major dent to Nigeria’s democracy.
The Situation Room is a coalition of prominent civic groups and one of the accredited observers for the election.
Clement Nwankwo, the convener of the situation room, announced the group’s stance in a press conference in Abuja on Sunday, November 17.
He argued that if the election is allowed to stand, 2023 and Ondo state election next year will be a bloodbath.
