The Caretaker Chairman of Latosha LCDA Hon Kazeem Oshoniyi, has reacted to the insinuations by Alhaji Dauda Oladipupo and the people in Bodija market in Ibadan.
Recalled that, Alhaji Dauda Oladipupo on a programme on Fresh 105,9 Fm “Gbagede Oselu” anchored by Alhaji Abolade Salami where he mentioned that Ile gogoro has been sold to a Telecommunication company, that there is crisis within Bodija Market and that Bodija Market has no Executive Council.
In his reaction through his Director of Communication, Oladapo-Fadipe Yetunde, said that Alhaji Dauda Oladipupo is not an Exco member of Bodija Market, has neither a shop nor stall at the dilapidated Ile gogoro and has no authority or right to speak on behalf of the Bodija Market Exco led by Com. Bukola Ahmed
He reiterated that the acclaimed Ile gogoro is not in good State and cannot stand the test of time as many unlawful activities are taking place inside the buildings. For example, someone was killed inside Ile gogoro around June last year which prompted the DSS to visit and assess the buildings.
“The Management of Aare Latosa LCDA led by him also embarked On-the-Spot assessment tour round the Ile gogoro buildings, where dumpsites, Shrine and other unlawful or illegal things were found, and this prompted a save our soul letter to His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde because protection of lives and properties of our people is very germaine. And in return, His Excellency approved the redesigning and reconstruction of Ile gogoro for the use of Bodija Market traders” he said.
Oshoniyi said further that recently, provision has been made to relocate all traders at Ile gogoro to Agric complex, Bodija where new stalls have been constructed for their use pending the completion of the Ile gogoro as agreed at meetings held with the traders at various times.
The Management of Aare Latosa LCDA want to put it on record that Ile gogoro will be reconstructed for the purpose of Bodija Market traders, that there is neither crisis nor unrest within the market as there is cordial relationship between us and the Market Excos as we relate on issues that borders on the welfare and well-being of all traders at all time*
He advise Alhaji Dauda Oladipupo not to cause unrest or crisis within Bodija Market through his inciting statements, while the management of Aare Latosa LCDA will continue to enjoy and sustain good and cordial relationship with Fresh 105.9 FM
