The Oyo state Governor elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde has pledged not to let down the good people of the state who in spite of challenges,voted into power to replace the APC government.
Addressing news men in his Ikolaba Ibadan residence on Monday, Makinde said that he was grateful to God and the Elder statesmen in the state who realised the need to team as a force to effect a change of government.
He said that he was particularly grateful to the Elders like Senator Rashid Ladoja, Senator Femi Lanlehin , Alhaji Sarafa Alli who ensured that they left their personal ambition to cooperate with him for success.
The Governor elect condemned the killing of a federal Lawmaker, Temitope Olatoye alias Sugar adding that the police should track down the killer for prosecution.
He assured that those who suffered in the course of this struggle would not suffer in vain.
Makinde pledged that he would fulfil all his electoral promises which would make Oyo a state to be proud of in the country.
There was jubilation by all party supporters who stormed his premises to rejoice with his victory.
It would be recalled that PDP Makinde polled 515,621 votes to defeat Chief Adebayo Adelabu of APC who polled 357,982 votes at a result announced Sunday evening by the State Resident Electoral Commission.
