Makinde Reshuffles Cabinet

Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced a reshuffle of his cabinet. The development was conveyed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, and made public on Monday.

According to the letter, the reshuffle affects key ministries:

Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barr. Seun Ashamu, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, formerly in charge of Environment and Natural Resources, now heads the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.

Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, the outgoing Commissioner for Public Works, takes over the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Prof. Solihu Adelabu, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Establishments and Training.

Hon. Segun Olayiwola, formerly in charge of Establishments, will now oversee the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

The reshuffle takes immediate effect. Governor Makinde urged the affected commissioners to remain committed and dedicated in the discharge of their duties, emphasizing the need for continued loyalty and service to the people of Oyo State.
