The police command in Ondo state arrested a suspect recently because he allegedly killed his beloved wife after discovering that she secretly kept a whooping amount of 10 million naira in their bank account without him being aware of it.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the suspect by name Kelechukwu Onuka was heard arguing with his wife after he reprimanded her for secretly keeping an amount big as 10 million naira in their bank account.
The victim and deceased is known by the name, Nnenna Kelechukwu. She was running a joint cosmetics business with her said husband. And they also used the same account for their business. According to reports, the deceased, Nnenna received that huge amount of money from one of her family member for a building project she was in charge of, and she kept the money there before she lost her dear life to her husband. His husband was said to have found out about the money from another source and confronted her about it. The confrontation skyrocketed into an argument that made the husband to lose himself and hit his wife with a heave object, and he died at the spot.
The neighbors alerted the Nigerian police in Ondo about the incident, and they rushed to the scene of the crime and arrested Kelechukwu
The Ondo state police public relations officer Funmi Odunlami confirmed the incident and tagged it a domestic violence case. She also stated that the case will be transferred to the CID of the state as investigation has already been launched about the matter.
