Seyi Makinde was brought to power in 2019 through the coalition of different political parties. Immediately he was sworn in as the Executive governor of Oyo State, he dissolved all local government Executives that were elected by the former governor of the state, Late Sen. Abiola Ajimobi. This actually led to the legal tussle between him and the Executive Chairman of the Algon for Abass Aleshinloye. Makinde opted out of the court and pledged to pay them their salaries and entitlements from the tax payers proceed.
Makinde jetisioned the agreement between him and the members of the coalition parties, alledging that they wanted his government to be giving them money, therefore he appointed most of his Executives and commissioners from non-members of the coalition parties.Makinde pronounced that he has no god father in the state.
SECURITY: Unlike before,when there was peace and tranquility in the state.Thuggrey has become the order of the day with no sanity in the whole of the 33 local governments.
-Seyi Makinde has rendered local governments useless by taking up their primary responsibilities without any meaningful impact.
Talented,qualified professional staff have been rendered idle without any duty or schedule of duty.All roads leading to the Local government and communities have been dillapidated and unmotorable for the communities in the local governments.Monthly Allocations are being misappropriated by Seyi Makinde administration .
- Traditional rulers ; 5% allocation are not duly paid to them . At the University of Ibadan Conference Center, Makinde maintained that he did not believe in the Local government Autonomy, because Nigerian’s constitution does not make provision for local government existence.The same Makinde conducted local government elections for the Executive chairmen of 33 local governments in the state in the date 2021, now stressing that there is no need for the local government Autonomy, apparently, if voted into power for another term, he will definetely scrap all the 33 local governments alongside with their LCDA’S .
Educational system from the primary to the tertiary institution have become worst under Seyi Makinde, Oyo state was recently rated 30th position in the WAEC result instead of their former leading positions in the past.
Abysmal failure in Education , 50 Secondary schools were delisted by WAEC. No payment of subventions are running expenses at schools. Thanks for the support from many Old Student Associations of leading schools, otherwise many school would have been considered as no longer in Existence.Several trails of death of horror at PDP political outing Ibarapa, Iwo road killings to mention just a few. He mentioned he has files relating to murders on his table,can we ask for those of the 2014 massacre at Iwo road as well as the 2021 killing at same Iwo road by his Vice Governor(Auxiliary).
His poor handling of the Anti-sars police encounters as the chief security officer of Oyo State is a great moral burden he won’t be able to take off for a long while . It is better forgotten than to bring back the memories of the fury incidents.
Let us ask Governor Seyi Makinde about the purchase of 99 pick up vans for the police with the deductions from the 33 local government purse without due process of bidding from other bidders only one company bided for it. Seventy four (74) pick up vans were supplied , where are the remaining 25 vehicles. The total amount for the purchase of pick up vans was 1.5 billion Naira.
Let us ask Governor Seyi Makinde at what meeting with the local government chairmen was it ratified that they should purchase pickup vans for the police. The minute of the meeting should be produced for the people of Oyo State.

PURCHASE OF FURNITURE FOR ALL THE 33 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN OYO STATE.
Let us ask Governor Seyi Makinde about the purchase and procurement of furniture for the 33 local government in Oyo State with the deductions of #25 million Naira from each local government. Up till now, the furniture have not been delivered.
Last year, Governor Seyi Makinde pronounced it that there would be rehabililtation of roads that belong to the Local government and the sum of One hundred million naira was deducted from each local government and paid to the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (Oysroma),while local governments have their qualified Coren certified Engineers in the works Department of the Local government.
Let us ask Governor Seyi Makinde the roads that were rehabilitated in the Local governments.

The exploitation of the controlled Park Management system is horrible and unimaginable,he openly said that the park managers were employed by the local government chairmen,can we then ask where the proceeds of the system is being paid into and why the usurpation of the duties of the local governments Quote me, it’s cheaper returning from Lagos or anywhere now than going to anywhere from Ibadan.
Transportation expenses have skyrocketed since the PMS started.
By not upholding the sanctity of Local Government Autonomy, this administration has crippled the LGs. Quite worrisome is the ack of trust in his lieutenants and aides at all levels. One need to listen to tales of woes of people in government! Though you will also wonder why they can’t leave and resign honorably.?

Is it not that you get the Farm Settlements revived and expanded while almost simultaneously embark on Layout of Agro Allied Industrial schemes?
Same for road projects everywhere. Very disappointing for his status as an Engineer. I watched with dismay how locals were removing supposedly tared road materials with bare hands!
Sacrificing Integrity and Kindness on the altar of politics for selfish interest towards the several individuals who formed the coalition that assisted his emergence in 2019 are unforgivable iniquities. It’s not good to betray trust. He has grossly violated the principles of alliance formation, synergy and networking as factors for success in politics like it is in corporate governance.
If he is not taught the lessons of such misbehavior, it will serve as bad legacy where future gladiators will mistake such behaviors as ideal negating the reality of collectivism in managing Nation State and other serious institutionalized systems.

Quite worrisome is the non award of certificates to graduates from the Polytechnic Ibadan since 2021 on the excuse that the consultant (Platinum)has not approved funds for the production of certificates
