This was the moment in 2019 when Senator Dino Melaye, the former member of Nigerian senate predicted that dollar will rise to N500 to One Dollar.
Today his prediction has come to pass as dollar on November 30, rose to N500 per a dollar at the parallel market.
In the throwback video during deliberation on 2019 appropriation bill, Melaye said: “Mr. President, inflation is around, unemployment is on the increase yet, we have a budget that has nothing for the poor masses in the country.
“I challenge the proponent of 2019 budget, I challenge those who support everything presented by the executives. Mr. President as I speak, there is no foreign investment in Nigeria and I announce to you Mr. President that with all these indicesvand yardstick, by the end of May next year, except there’s miracle, A dollar will rise to N500.
“This is because we have depleted our foreign reserve and we are a chartered borrowing nation”, Melaye predicted.
