But it was gathered that their expectation was dashed when the bullets hit some of the irate youths and nonetheless, the youths were not dispersed.
Reports revealed that moment after, the policemen couldn’t fire any shot again and this time, the irate youths guessed the bullets have finished and it was this time the youths thronged in to attack the police station in the area.
During the attack, the youths destroyed the police station, burnt it with vehicles there in while the police men took to their heels. This probably gave many youths the impression that police are not as powerful as they are portrayed.
It seems social media did harms that good to situation in Ibadan as after news of chaotic situation in Lagos reported online, this probably gave the irate youths in Ibadan to follow suit by going around burgling building and looting valuable items.
This got more chaotic in Ibadan that the irate youths attempted to attacked Testing Ground, a major police station in Iwo Road area of Ibadan but the policemen put up their strong guard to avoid the attack.
