Pastor Tunde Bakare in an interview with BBC News Yoruba has lent his opinion on Sunday Igboho’s plan to create a Yoruba nation and the way in which President Buhari is running the country.
The clergyman while speaking said Sunday Igboho is agitating for Yoruba Nation because the Buhari led government is not leading the nation in a right way and a lot of people are tired.
Pastor Bakare stated further that if there is equality and security in the country, the likes of Sunday Igboho will no longer clamour for Yoruba Nation.
While speaking on the way Buhari is running the country, Bakare noted that the Buhari led government is biting more than it can chew.
He noted that everyone expects a retired soldier to crush terrorists within a short period of time but the present government is doing nothing or little to defeat the menace of insecurity that is ravaging the nation.
Speaking on his political affiliation with Buhari, Pastor Bakare said he met Buhari during Operation Save Nigeria rally in which many people including Wole Soyinka joined. He stated further that it was during that time he and Buhari became political friends.
Conclusively, Bakare said that the only way for Nigeria to be better is through restructuring and unity.
