The popular Nigerian rapper star, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens also known as Ruggedman has slammed a the popular blogger and daughter of Former Governor of Oyo State, Kemi Omololu- Olunloyo with a cease and desist order to prevent her from further alleged defamation of his character in the Naira Marley’s case who is in EFCC’s custody.
In a press statement and documents made available to LiveTimes 9ja, the K & C partners on behalf of Ruggedman maintained that the legal decision was as a result of statements made by Kemi Olunloyo on social media and in several media outlets suggesting that Ruggedman was inadvertently involved in events leading up to the arrest of the Nigerian music artist, Naira Marley by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
K & C partners on behalf of Ruggedman therefore requesting that:
•Kemi Olunloyo should retract all statements made with regard Ruggedman and his alleged involvement in Naira Marley’s affair;
•That Kemi Olunloyo should tender her unreserved apology for making such statement that were clearly engineered to cause a stir in the news to further her personal agenda;
•And that Kemi Olunloyo cease to make further statements in his regard.
The documents made available to journalists further stated that Kemi Olunloyo was granted 48 hours to take necessary action and that failing to do so, K & C partners on behalf of their client will take legal action against her.
