Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners’ Chapel international has come under attack by Nigerians for bringing up talks to suggest the reopening of churches in the country.
The Federal Government over the past one month ordered the closure of all worship centres in the country to curb the spread of the deadly Corona virus disease.
However, this has not gone well with most religious heads which Bishop Oyedepo happens to be one.
Alleging ulterior motives, the senior pastor lamented why markets were allowed to open and churches remained closed.
Oyedepo during the Covenant Hour of Prayer Programme, argued that if markets could be opened for six hours, there was no reason churches should not be opened for two hours.
He also alleged that there is a gang-up against the growth of the church in the country.
Following this, Nigerians especially on Twitter have lambasted the popular cleric for his unpopular opinion.

“If Pastor Bishop Oyedepo is richer than the people he serves. You should wonder if he’s here to help us or are we here to help him?
