In response to claims that he turned down N10 million to assist the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general elections, veteran Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh aka Osufia has reacted.
According to unconfirmed reports made on Monday, the actor rejected the N10 million offer and stated Tinubu couldn’t purchase his support since 2023 was crucial for the general welfare of all residents and would never be traded.
This raised rumors that the veteran had turned down a N10 million deal to support the APC nominee; rumours which spread like wildfire across the streets of Twitter.
Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed of the Labour Party (LP), who is running for vice president, responded to the news by saying on his Twitter page, “I have always known Nkem Owoh as a superb actor, but didn’t even know he also had standard and integrity.”
However, Osofia denied having any interest in politics when Sahara Reporters contacted him to comment on the rumors.
He told the news agency on Tuesday in the afternoon, “I don’t want to confirm that, I am not interested in politics.
