
The Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Ademola Babalola, and Secretary, Sola Oladapo, the NUJ described the monarch’s enthronement as a historic milestone and a new chapter in the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
The union commended Oba Ladoja’s distinguished service to the nation, recalling his contributions as a former Senator and Governor of Oyo State. According to the NUJ, his wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and enduring commitment to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria would serve as invaluable assets to his reign.
“We pray for long life, sound health, and abundant blessings for His Imperial Majesty as he assumes this revered position. We are confident that his reign will bring peace, unity, and unprecedented growth to Ibadanland,” the statement read.
The NUJ further pledged its unwavering support to the Olubadan, assuring him of continued collaboration in advancing the interests of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
Reaffirming its high regard for the new monarch, the union urged all residents and indigenes of Ibadanland to rally behind Oba Ladoja in ensuring a peaceful, progressive, and impactful reign.
