Famous Nollywood actor, Azubuike Michael Egwu popularly known as Zubby has denied the claims that he is a member of Mountain of Holy Ghosts Intervention Ministry owned by Nigerian controversial prophet, Odumeje.
The actor made this clarifications via his Instagram handle on Sunday, May 10, 2020.
In 2019, a video of the actor dancing alongside Odumeje in his church emerged online, this video has led to the call that the prominent actor is a member of the church.
The Anambra state born actor slammed popular IG influencer, Tunde Ednut and others spreading false claims that his recent success in the movie industry was due to the spiritual powers he collected from Odumeje.
Zubby explained that although he knows Odumeje but the preacher is more of his close pal than his spiritual father.
He added that he doesn’t go church and doesn’t follow any pastor.
He wrote;
“The lion, Odumeje…Where is he directing you all? You all can like all the acting but I dislike it when you say, ‘that’s where Zubby got spiritual powers from, he made Zubby successful”.
“Are you people sick? The explosion that will hit those giving rise to such statements will come from Adamawa… I’m not refuting the fact that he’s my friend way back from Onitsha….But does that imply I go there to pray?
“prophet Odumeje is my man and not my pastor. Don’t be so foolish. I don’t go to church. I’m more of a sacred person than a religious one. So I dislike it when you bring me into your unwarranted drama.
“Especially that Tunde Ednut. Are you stupid? Why are you encouraging an unwarranted drama? Don’t you see what others improve? You’re a fool. I’m saying this because of my fans.
“Odumeje is my man; when I had my house warming, he came and sprayed more than a million naira. He also invited me for his birthday, I went there and sprayed 500k.
“But, because of that, people are already giving rise to untrue statements. Stop that stupidity. He’s my friend and not my pastor. If you want me in your own concert, then hire me and I’ll certainly come. ”
