The Governorship Aspirant during the 2019 general election on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State Chief Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan on Saturday installed as the Osi Bashorun Of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Oguguniso 1st.
While speaking after the installation held at the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Adetunji, the immediate past health commissioner in the state, thanked the monarch for the trust and confidence reposed in him which gave him the title.
He explained that he has done so much in the socio economic development of Ibadan land and Oyo State as a whole with the establishment of his foundation Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan Foundation (DAPAF) among other goodies he has brought to the city.
The cardiovascular surgeon turned politician disclosed that henceforth he will always make himself available for the medical upkeep of the Olubadan.
Earlier, Oba Adetunji extolled the great virtues of the new Osi Bashorun Of Ibadan Land especially in the area of helping the needy and the numerous goodwill he has brought to bare on Ibadan land and Oyo State as a whole.
Oba Adetunji described Chief Dr Adeduntan as a worthy son of Ibadan land and a shinning light of Ibadan who has projected the name of Ibadanland internationally.
Also, the wife of the new chief, Mrs Omolara Adeduntan expressed her readiness to support her husband in promoting the cause of Ibadan land.
