Chief (Engr.) Oseni Morufu Babalola, the Mogaji Aladorin of Yemetu, Ibadan, has congratulated the Olubadan designate, Oba Olakulehin Owolabi, on his forthcoming coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory letter dated July 9, 2024, and made available to journalists, the family head expressed the warmest wishes of the Aladorin Yemetu family and residents to the new Olubadan.
“As Mogaji Aladorin Yemetu Area, and on behalf of the family and the residents of Aladorin Yemetu, we express our warmest wishes to His Imperial Majesty the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, The Olubadan in Council and all Ibadan Consort as we celebrate the Olubadan Coronation,” the letter read.
The letter further conveyed the family’s sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Olubadan designate on the occasion of his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Additionally, the family brought to the attention of the Olubadan and the Olubadan-in-Council a “wrong notion/impression going on the media that the new palace is at Oke Aremo instead of Agala Aladorin Yemetu, Ibadan.” The family appealed for the matter to be resolved appropriately, ensuring that the Olubadan and the Olubadan-in-Council are properly settled in the new palace.
The letter which was signed by Comrd. Fatai Oyetunji, the Secretary, on behalf of the Aladorin Family, Yemetu, and Chief (Engr.) Oseni Morufu Babalola, the Mogaji Aladorin Yemetu, concluded with prayers for the new Olubadan’s reign to be marked by unprecedented development, progress, and peace in Ibadanland, and wished him good health, wisdom, and long life to fulfill his purpose for the land and its people.
