Ona Ara council boss recounts achievements in office…. rally support for Makinde ahead 2023

The Chairman, Ona Ara Local government area of Oyo State, Honourable Musibau Adesina Sanusi has admonished people of the council area to further cooperate and support the administration of governor Seyi Makinde beyond 2023 in order to enable him consolidate and complete projects he started when he assumed office in 2019.

The council boss said governor Makinde at this point has proved himself to be a true leader of the people of the state going by his record and achievements in office.

Speaking on infrastructural and economic developments recorded in Ona Ara local government since governor Makinde came on board, Honourable Sanusi said the governor deserved to be commended for revamping business and economic sector of the area, especially provision of Primary Health Care Centre at Aba Emu which has been upgraded.

“We commend the governor for embarking on provision of Primary Health Centres across the state. The Aba Emu health centre situated at a very good geographic location is the only maternity centre in that area. It is a good development, and it will serve the good purpose of the people.

“The health centre has qualified health workers who attend to health issues of the people.

According to him, his administration in Ona Ara has proffered a lasting solution to the problems of flood which often cause blockage of movement and destruction of lives and property during raining season, by embarking on massive dredging, and channelisation especially at the Ariyo bridge.

He said the dredging and channelisation has brought an end to the menace of flooding which often create fear for the people whenever raining season is approaching.”

Hon. Sanusi said economic and business activities have really improved in the council area following grading of roads especially on the roads where crops and food items are brought to the city.

“Ona Ara is both an urban and rural area. The blockage which often occur at Amuloko area has become a thing of the past. In the past there used to be serious go slow in the are due to business activities of the people which often encroach the main road. But today the problems have been addressed.

‘I have acquired a massive land as garage where commercial motorists will be relocated for the commercial activities .

“I commend governor Makinde for embarking on dualization of some roads like Beere to Dagbolu and others in the council area to ease traffic lock jam and promote business activities. The road from Odeyale to Ajia has been done and work is ongoing on many others too.”

On security, the council boss said the sector has been taken care of adding that problem of insecurity has been reduced drastically.

Hon. Sanusi lauded efforts of Chief Dotun Sanusi, the chairman of Ilaji Sport resorts in Akanran area for his kind efforts at curbing insecurity problem in the area.

He added that efforts have been intensified to create awareness on Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, urging the people to support governor Makinde beyond 2023.
