The management of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) has distanced itself from any official involvement in the broadcast of content promoting the now-defunct CBEX Trading Exchange Global scheme, calling the incident unauthorized and misleading.
In a statement issued by the Corporation’s Public Relations Officer, Gbenga Faminu, OSBC clarified that the contentious segment, aired on Orisun FM in Ile-Ife, bypassed editorial approval and was linked to an independent presenter.
“As a responsible media organization, OSBC identified the five-minute controversial content smuggled into our programming and has since sanctioned the presenter responsible,” Faminu stated.
Reaffirming its commitment to ethical broadcasting, the Corporation stressed that it operates under strict regulatory standards. OSBC also restated its mission to serve as a trusted voice in the Southwest, dedicated to informing, educating, and entertaining the public.
The agency urged Nigerians to stay alert to the growing wave of fraudulent schemes preying on the country’s economic challenges and targeting vulnerable citizens.
OSBC assured its audience and stakeholders of continued transparency and professionalism in all its operations.
