GROWTH in ministry and other spheres of life is not cheap and will never be attained if it is premised on luck and chance.
This submission was made by the Global Lead Pastor of London-based The Nxtion Family, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega. He was speaking during the service titled YES during which testimonies were shared about how a church that started with just five members has grown into many other churches with members across the world.
According to PT, it is gratifying to see how sweat and efforts have resulted into continuous growth which has seen the ministry impact both the spiritual and physical areas of life for her members.
“We do not care about yesterday but we have to celebrate how far God has brought us in ten years. Yesterday is not as important as tomorrow because the lives we have to touch tomorrow can ultimately be the one that would have the most impact on humanity. We don’t glory in the past, we allow God to lead us to the future in our quest to take the nations of the world for Him.”
“We are deliberate in achieving targets and goals as set for us by God. We dont look for shortcuts, we just follow His lead and the result is the growth we celebrate today.”
The Pastor who has been in ministry since his twenties said it was to God’s glory that The Nxtion Family had continued to grow despite being unfairly targeted by different people and organisations. He added that the ministry is not fazed by this as those who thought they were giving SPAC Nation, the other name by which the ministry is known, a bad name were only spreading God’s work the more.
“Not many organisations can say they have positively influenced their immediate environment the way we have. Whether you call us SPAC Nation or you call us The Nxtion Family, you are very right. We do not live for governmental or societal approval. We are all about our divine assignments and divine leading so we are not afraid of being tagged controversial. Anyone can go ahead as long as God’s work goes on full throttle.”
In his testimony, Pastor Sam Akokhia, the Lead Pastor of The Nxtion Family recounted his meeting with Pastor Tobi as a 20 year old who as fresh out of prison in 2010.
“I met PT when I just came out of jail and was at a crossroads. I was lost and did not know what I wanted to do with my life. Immediately I listened to him, I knew this was who I wanted to be. I then left my parents to go live with him. Following PT has helped us to make things happen at an age many were still not sure of what they wanted to do.”
One of the mother figures in the ministry who belongs to the group known as The Pillars said she found her way to SPAC Nation having being burnt out from church. She said she initially looked down on PT as being too young but eventually she found a home with SPAC Nation. According to her, SPAC Nation became a place of rest for her and her family after being at different places over the years.
The Nxtion Family has grown from less than members to ‘birthing’ Churches across the United Kingdom. Beyond the shores of London, the ministry has also touched lives in many African countries while empowering many entrepreneurs in the process.
The Global Lead Pastor said members should get set to take more nations for Christ because that is the foundation on which the ministry is built.
“We are The Nxtion Family, we will take over the world for Christ and lead many to the Kingdom of God while helping them to live the best lives they can.”
