Iseyin Traditional Council and Youths of Iseyin on Sunday promised support for the governorship ambition of the Accord governorship candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
The support came during the continuation of the second phase of the consultation visit of the Accord party candidate to the various stakeholders in the zone.
Adelabu had earlier visited the Oke Ogun zone before proceeding to Ogbomoso and Ibarapa as part of his state-wide consultation over his governorship ambition.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional council, Ikolaba Iseyin, High Chief Ismail Omotosho enjoined Adelabu not to forget all the promises made to the zone and especially Iseyin and environ.
Also speaking on behalf of Iseyin youths, Comrade Tajudeen Bolaji said the youths are ready to support Adelabu and enjoined him to seize the opportunity to transform the zone and the State when he emerged Governor in 2023.
Speaking earlier, Adelabu promised to strengthen the security architecture of the area through a coordinated approach.
Adelabu who was Chairman, Security Trust Fund during the second term of Former Governor Abiola Ajimobi said he has a solid template on improving security architecture of the state that will encourage investors to Oyo State.
” The present administration has no template or plan to tackle insecurity in the state. The security system has not been as porous as we have today but when elected, security of lives and property will be given utmost priority”.
He noted that Gov Seyi Makinde has failed the people of the state.
“There is no reasonable programmes in the last three and half years. Till now nothing to show for over N7b loan borrowed for Farm Settlements.
The administration in the state can not justify the different loans obtained in the last three years.
The Makinde Government is a disaster to Oyo state”, he said.
Chief Adelabu urged people to vote for all Accord candidates in the forthcoming election adding that candidates in Accord are carefully selected from based on their well known background.
Also speaking, the Director General, Bayo Adelabu Campaign Council Chief Adegboyega Adegoke said the Accord candidate has a very good plan for rapid development of Oke Ogun which is the food basket of Oyo state.
According to Chief Adegoke if elected Adelabu will ensure an effective transportation system that will ease transportation of goods especially agriculture produce to the city and intensify efforts to make the 10 local government in Oke Ogun a commercial hub.
