The Oyo State House of Assembly on Thursday called on Gov. Makinde led Executive Arm of Government to work in conjunction with the Security agencies in tightening the Security against further incursion from the killer herdsmen and other hellish groups disrupting the peace of the state and its neighbour.
The house made the plea while observing it plenary on Thursday following a motion raised by the Deputy speaker and Honourable representing Ona Ara state constitutency, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi and co-sponsored by Hon. Ayo Fatokun, who is the chairman of the parliamentary council.
After 2hours of deliberation and recommendations, the Honourable speaker of the Oyo state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, affirm to call for a tighten security against the spate of killings, kidnapping, rapes and other vices by brutish herdsmen in the South Western States and Oyo State in particular with a view to curtailing the ugly trend.
It would be recalled that the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde had earlier hosted a Security Summit of South West States in Ibadan, Tuesday June 25, 2019 to find a lasting solution to insecurity in Oyo state and other neighboring states in the Southwest Geo – Political Zone.
