Oyo State Government, through the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Governor’s Office, Mr. Adedayo Ayorinde has charged the newly recruited indigenes of Oyo State into the Nigerian Army to be good ambassadors.
He stated this at the Major General J.M Inienger Sports Complex, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan. during the departure of the successful candidates to training center Falgore.
He said the state government is looking up to the young soldiers to do their best and should not be involved in unruly behaviors that can tarnish the image of the State at the training ground, hinting that, the State had invested to ensure the success of the recruitment exercise.
He said “over 100 of them were shortlisted which is a sharp departure from the previous exercises where the final figures of successful candidates range between 60 and 80. in this concluded exercise 120 indigenes of Oyo State were certified fit to proceed to the Falgore training centre”.
“We pray that God will grant them journey mercy and all the training they shall be subjected to will make them successful and fully become part of the Nigerian Army”.
In her remarks, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Governor’s Office, Mrs Olayinka Olaleye commended the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde fnse dsc for his gracious approval for the release of fund to cater for the kits of the successful candidates and other logistics.
