The Oyo State Chairman Committee on the review of Contracts and Projects, Engineer Adedamola Falade-Fatila has charged contractors handling on -going projects in the State to expedite actions on the projects in accordance with the terms and conditions attached to the award of the contracts .
Engineer Falade – Fatila said the mandate given the committee by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde is to assess the status of the on going projects in the State and advise Government as appropriate.
He enjoined contractors handling Government projects to do the needful to demonstrate their commitment to the present administration, saying that there is no reason for them not to be on site.
Engineer Falade-Fatila said. “If you have been advanced 30 percent of payment of the contract sum and the level of the work done is less than that, that is not fair to Government and the people of Oyo State.”
According to him, we are on the sites inspection visit to the on-going projects awarded by the immediate past administration in Oyo State, we have seen it on paper, we are here on the project sites for on the spot assessment.
The Committee visited sites on the Construction of Gas Power Plant at both Asejire Water Supply Scheme, Eleyele Water Supply Scheme and Construction of Mini-Water Supply Scheme at Owode- Estate Apata, Ibadan.
