Mrs. Oni emphasized that the collaboration between the State Government and CIPM would promote capacity building and sustained engagement in the public service. She noted that CIPM plays a vital role in workforce development, ensuring discipline, and boosting productivity within the civil and public service.

“I wish to congratulate the newly inducted members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in the Oyo State Civil and Public Service. It is heartwarming to see professionals from various sectors—such as Medical Officers, Consultants, State Counsel, and Accountants—embracing HR certification. This is indeed a commendable and welcome development,” she said.

She also encouraged senior and management-level staff members to enroll with the institute, describing it as a pathway to professional growth and better service delivery.

Highlighting the current administration’s vision, Mrs. Oni stated that Governor Seyi Makinde’s government acknowledges the critical contributions of professional bodies to achieving its strategic objectives. She assured that the administration would continue to support initiatives that align with good governance and enhanced public service.

“I urge members to take full advantage of the soon-to-be inaugurated Pacesetter Chapter of CIPM. It will serve as a platform to exchange ideas, tackle challenges, and find collective solutions. It also offers opportunities for mentorship and learning among both serving and retired officers, further strengthening unity in the state,” she added.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Sunday Ojelabi, described the partnership as a foundation for interactive collaboration and mutual understanding among public servants.

Chairman of the Institute, Mrs. Lara Onipede, applauded Mrs. Oni for her dedication and efforts, which have significantly contributed to the transformation witnessed in the Oyo State Civil/Public Service and the establishment of the Pacesetter CIPM Chapter.
