The National President of the Music Promoters Association of Nigeria (MUPAN), Alhaji Qarmorudeen Tiamiyu has sent warning to all erring marketers selling pirated copies of the association’s members work to desists from it or face the wrath of the law.
Alhaji Tiamiyu made this declaration in a chart exclusively with Nigerian Tribune at the Union House, Layi Balogun, Kobomoje in Ibadan.
He noted that the association is disturbed by the activities of the marketers shortchanging the artistes by duplicating their artwork, noting that is high time lasting solution is find to the problem
Alhaji Tiamiyu, while speaking further, described royalties from the association’s members as very important to the development of the association.
He charged all stations across the federation to ensure payment of their royalties, saying that it shows benefits of their artworks over the years.
Alhaji Tiamiyu disclosed that all arrangements have been completed for the Oyo State chapter of the association to elects the new executive members on Monday, October 7th, 2019.
The MUPAN National President said the new leadership will lead the music promoters in the state for the next 3 years.
