The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo State chapter on Tuesday tasked Governor Seyi Makinde on need to pay the N30,000 minimum wage in the state.
The chairman, NLC in the state, Mr Titilola Sodo, gave the charge after a closed door meeting with the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde .
Speaking with newsmen, the NLC chairman said the visit became imperative as deadline for the negotiation of the minimum wage to resume has been issued.
Mr Sodo while applauding the government on the prompt payment of salaries and pension, urged governor Makinde to as matter of urgency look into the issue of minimum wage, status of directors in the state and promotion arreas.
The NLC equally lauded the review of appointment of workers whose employments were terminated by the immediate past administration.
Mr Sodo pointed out the appointment of many were cut without due process.
