The Chairman of Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, has attacked the APC chairman, Chief Akin Oke in a reactions to voluntary declaration of assets by Governor Seyi Makinde at Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB.
The PDP chairman described the statement as reckless, unpatriotic, uncivilized and a wicked approach to discourage men of goodwill like Gov. Makindefrom partaking in politics.
It would recalled that LiveTimesng.com reported that Oke earlier in a statement asked Gov. Makinde to state sources of his assets he declared.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Engr Akeem Olatunji, the party Chairman, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, frown at sycophancy nature of APC Chairman in Oyo State as he was expected to ask questions from his party’s candidate in the last election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, on how he sourced for several billions of Naira he spent lavishly on gubernatorial campaign as well as hundreds of vehicles he purchased to move political thugs around.
According to Alh Mustapha, if a government worker like Adelabu could spend lavishly without blinking and EFCC is looking the other way, then how much more a businessman with chains of businesses in almost 4 Continent of the World.
Mathematically, a man who pays N1.5 billion in tax should be in a position to have more than N48 billion declared and here’s a man who believe private citizens must pay tax for government to have enough to take care of the less privilege in the society.
Makon Group, an indigenous oil and gas servicing company ranked first in Africa when it comes to her core area of specialization which is Automation and Control Scope. Control Scope is the process of monitoring the status of the project and product scope and managing changes to the scope baseline.
According to the available information, Makon Group, a company wholly owned by Governor Seyi Makinde built Utorogu NAG 2 Plant a 150 MMSCfd plant which increased the capacity of the Utorogu gas hub from 360 MMscfd to circa 510MMscfd that addressed the supply shortfalls in the Escravos Lagos Pipeline System and West African Gas Pipeline (ELPS/WAGP) market.
The project can generate up to 600MW of electricity which is around 17% of Nigeria national generation capacity for electricity.
That GSM declared N48 billion is even an understatement, he works hard and earn fat pay from his chain of businesses across the globe.
If Russia can be proud of Ibramovic, Nigerians and most especially Oyo State citizens should be proud of Makinde who has come to serve selflessly despite his stupendous riches.
