The world renowned surgeon, revered politician in Oyo State and founder Azeez Popoola Adeduntan Foundation, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan has joined well meaning leaders of the world in mourning the passing of a liberation fighter and champion of Africa’s cause against colonialism Robert Mugabe.
In a release by his media office, Dr Adeduntan stated that Mugabe’s leadership in Zimbabwe’s sustained valiant struggle against colonialism inspired other African nations struggle against colonialism and built the hope that one day Africa nation’s would be free.
“Words cannot convey the magnitude of the loss as former President
Mugabe was an elder statesman, a freedom fighter and a Pan-
Africanist who played a major role in shaping the interests of the
African continent.”
The statement added that the continent will forever remember former President Mugabe as a man of courage who was never afraid to fight for what he believed in even when it was not popular and his sacrifices, especially in struggling for the political and economic emancipation of his people, will always be remembered by posterity.
