Deacon Hon. Oluwatunde Julius Ogunesan was born on January 24th, 1974 to the family of Late Pa Caleb & Mrs Rebecca Ogunesan of Alagogo compound, Sepeteri, Saki East Local Government, Oyo State. He attended Progressive Day School, Aladorin, Ibadan for his Primary
School Education. He thereafter proceeded to Baptist Secondary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan. In 1999, he also gained admission to The Polytechnic Ibadan, Adeseun. Ogundoyin Campus, Eruwa for his National Diploma, and The Polytechnic Ibadan main campus for the Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication 2005. He, however started his working career as a trained and professional journalist, he joined the Nigerian in the year 2006. During this period, he worked and served meritoriously to the best of his ability, in different capacities. He also obtained the Masters of Arts in Communication and Language Arts (M.A. CLA) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in 2010.
As a devout Christian, Deacon Oluwatunde served the Lord in different capacities in the Church of God. He was once the President, Royal Ambassadors; Choir Master, Wonders Choir;
Choir Master, Sanctuary Choir all in the Sanctuary of Cook Memorial Baptist Ibadan. Oluwatunde was also ordained as Deacon in 2012 and served the Lord till he breadth the last.
Tunde Ogunesan was a prominent journalist in Oyo State, and beyond. He was actively involved in the activities of Oyo State Chapter of both Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) and Writers Association of (SWAN).
His immense contributions to the Nigerian Tribune will be remembered as a significant impart Oluwatunde was a prayer warrior and man of faith, he’s a defender of the truth, family and loved ones. He was the Secretary of Saki East Local Government till he sudden demise
and transited to glory. He was survived by wife, children, aged mother, and siblings. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
