Germany-based business entrepreneur and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Olayinka Segelu, has expressed his deepest condolences on the passing of the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe.
Oba Adebimpe, a respected traditional ruler, sadly passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness, according to reliable sources. In his condolence message, Hon. Segelu described Oba Adebimpe as a worthy custodian of the Ibadan traditional institution who dedicated his life to the service of his people.
“Oba Adebimpe was a respected and revered leader who commanded the admiration of all within and outside Ibadanland,” Hon. Segelu stated. “His contributions to the progress and development of our dear city will be greatly missed.”
Hon. Segelu prayed that the Almighty God grants the Osi-Balogun’s family and the people of Ibadanland the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
The late Oba Adebimpe had the distinct honour of representing the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, at the recent unveiling of the new palace of the Olubadan in Oke Aremo, Ibadan North local government area. This event was reported to be his last official outing before his untimely demise.
According to Segelu, the loss of Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, a prominent and highly revered traditional ruler in Ibadanland, will undoubtedly leave a void that will be difficult to fill.
