As part of activities marking its first year anniversary, Victor Mobolaji Adewale Foundation(VMA Foundation)has distributed foodstuffs worth over N1m in badan as palliatives measure for people to comply with stay at home order to prevent further spread of COVID 19
Victor Mobolaji Adewale Foundation is a non governmental organisation born out of passion to support the needy, OldAged,Widows,Youths and less privileged in the society.
The foundation is not a political organisation but a platform whose main focus is to provide for the people especially the younger generations to pursue and achieve their dreams by backing them up with moral and financial support.
Chief Victor Adewale,the founder of the organisation said the gesture is for people to obey and support the stay home/ lockdown process to curb the spread of COVID 19
Chief Victor Adewale in a chat with journalists said” COVID 19,I believe there is need for collective efforts against the spread of COVID 19 in Nigeria.Our government should not be left alone in this and that is why we are also giving out foodstuff and other materials to support our people.
The Akingbayi Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland,Chief Adewale also expresses optimism that Nigeria will soon overcome COVID 19 pandemic.
Speaking on the activities of of the organisation in the last one year,the Oke Oro Ekiti born international businessman said “In the last one year,we have been able to provide writing materials, and financial supports for students as well as boost startup funds and support for widows, and old aged in selected locations in Ibadan and Ekiti State.
Chief Adewale said ” We have mapped out plans and strategy to continue with our aims and objectives which centres mainly on helping the needy and i can assure you more people will benefit”
