Following the public condemnation of how the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, wife of former governor, Mutiat Ladoja and other Commissioners were turned back at the Oluyole residence of late Abiola Ajimobi.
Recall that there were accusations from the former first lady, Florence Ajimobi that the state did not reach out to them during their trying times when Oyo Deputy Governor visited the family to commiserate with them.
However, the Media Aide of late governor, Tunji Bolaji has denied in the press statement to counter the claim that Deputy Governor Engr Rauf Olaniyan and his entourage were prevented from the venue of 8th day fidau prayer.
Mr. Tunji Bolaji stressed the need to comply with the COVID-19 protocol as established by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) social distancing which gave opportunity for not more than 30 people at the social gathering.
The stand of Abiola Ajimobi’s family not to allow crowd at the fidau prayer should be seen as a good step in the right direction for the state and Nigeria as a whole.
