Accord governorship candidate in the just concluded General election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu (Penkelemess) has charged Muslim Faithful to use the period of Ramadan to remember Oyo State and Nigeria in their daily prayer during the holy month of Ramadan.
Chief Adelabu made this known in his Ramadan message on Wednesday while welcoming Muslim umah to the 9th month in the muslim lunar calendar year. He also urged all Muslims to pray for a peaceful transition and the enablement to make the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu turn the country around for the good of all.
” As a Muslim, the sighting of the moon marked the end of Saban, the eight month of Muslim lunar calendar year and the beginning of Ramadan. This is a period of sobber reflection and piety. It is a period when Muslim seeks for forgiveness of sins hence the need for Muslims to remember Oyo State and Nigeria in their prayer.”
” It is imperative for Muslims to remember the needy at this important month and shun any act that could reduce the reward of their fast.
” We should also pray for our president-elect for continued well being and the enablement to turn Nigeria into that country we have always dream of. All hands must be on deck to give him the necessary support.”
Chief Adelabu, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) also wished Muslim faithful a fruitful ramandan while praying to Allah to accept it as an act of Ibadah.
