Oyo state speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin from Ibarapa East State Constituency (PDP) and his deputy, Abiodun Fadeyi from Ona Ara LG Constituency (PDP) will receive combined amount of N3.86 million as annual salary.
According to findings, the Speaker will receive N2.05 million per annum while his deputy, Fadeyi will get N1.81 million per annum.
According to InsideOyo.com, the Remuneration Package of Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders from the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) 2007 till date gives the breakdown of the salaries and allowances as basic salary and constituency allowance.
While Speaker Ogundoyin will receive about N137,000 monthly pay, his deputy will take home N120,000 monthly.
Two principal officers of the House of Assembly also have other allowances such as accommodation allowance to be paid annually, Furniture allowance, once in 4 years, Duty tour allowance (per night), Estacode, medical, Leave allowance (10%) of salaries and an optional motor vehicle loan (400%).
For Nigerian lawmakers, their allowance, is a question of debate as many of the allowances are not known to public but only to the parliament officials.
