Registrar’s Forum holds valedictory session for OYSCATECH outgoing registrar

The Registrar’s Forum of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 held a valedictory session for the outgoing Registrar of the institution, Mr Niyi Fehintola.

Addressing the forum, the registrar disclosed that it was necessary to hold the valedictory session in order to consider the successes recorded and challenges in the last six years of his administration as the registrar of the institution.

Mr. Niyi Fehintola used the occasion to thank all the senior members of the registry, the team of staff both junior and senior who worked with him in achieving the successes recorded so far.

In his words, ‘ I thank God that altogether, we have reached this point. I thank God for the opportunity to end well.

‘I want you to accord whoever emerges as the Acting Registrar, the same honour and respect that you have accorded me. Respect elder, so that you could be respected, if you fail to respect elders, you will not be respected,’he said.

The registrar’s Forum, which had officers in the registrar’s cadre in attendance appreciated God for the life of the registrar.

The members present took their turn to extol the good virtues of Mr. Niyi Fehintola, while thanking God for the opportunity to work with him.

According to some of the speakers at the forum, Mr. Peter Oladokun, Mr. Onike Raman, Mr Daniel Olaniyi, Pastor Matthew Odesanya and Mrs. Opeyemi Olawore, they described the registrar as a father, goal getter, mentor, exemplary leader, symbol of unity and an epitome of excellence who served the institution meritoriously.

He was also commended for his large hearted ness, humility and patience in dealing with all categories of people around him.

Some of his achievements highlighted at the forum include; establishment of Registrar and Administrative officers forums, in-house training and workshops for registry staff, creation of different divisions within the registry, provision of maze which is a symbol of authority for convocation programme and matriculation ceremony.

Others include; presentation of eligible staff for promotion, upgrading and redesignation, automation of admission process, regularisation of admission, issuance of certificate to graduands and servicing of statutory meetings among others.

Mr. Niyi Fehintola was appointed as the Registrar for OYSCATECH, Igboora on July 10, 2014. At the expiration of the four year tenure, his appointed was extended on June 22, 2018 by two years.

Mr. Niyi Fehintola’s tenure lapses on Monday, June 22, 2020.
