Residents of Isawo Agric, in Ikorudu, Lagos State have cried to Lagos State Government to come to their aid over the dilapidated road in the area.
According to the residents who alerted LiveTimes, the road was pliable before the government of Akinwumi Ambode brought engineers to start work on the road. The residents added that the road was stopped midway and the engineers stopped working on the road.
The residents informed that it is always hellish for the residents who ply the the road whenever it rains.
They added that-they noted the immediate former governor, Ambode withdrawn the engineers from the road after he learnt he would not be given ticket under All Progressive Congress (APC) party to contest the 2019 governorship election.
According to them, to go to work is very costly as the cost of transportation always high anytime it rains because the transport workers avoid the road. They added that those that have private vehicles always developing defaults due to the bad road.
The residents are therefore appealing to the present state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to please come to their aids.
The concerned residents said they learnt Sanwo-Olu’s government is collaborate with residents and people of the state for successful implementation of his administration’s policies where he promised he would soon release emergency hotlines to the public to call the Lagos State Public Works for immediate fixing of potholes and roads that need urgent repairs.
The residents urged the state governor to please consider them in the program.
