A Politician thinks of the next Election or how to retain Power at all cost, a Stateman is always thinking of the welfare of his people and their next Generation. A people oriented Government, in the course of contriving Fundamental policies, considers input of its Resourceful Citizens that can add value to the entire progress of its constituencies.
Government’s insensitivities to its Citizens’ yearnings is borne out of its lack of commitment to programmes promised to the people. Yes, people crave for power to rule and not to lead because they have the notion that ‘power is power’ and not a collective minuscules of mandates entrusted to them to be used for the betterment of their fellow citizen.
This is the case of Rotimi Akeredolu . Typical of his party’s creed, the real use of power is focused on retaining relevance and personal or caucus aggrandizement. The adopted modus operandi is to instill, into the subconscious of the already repressed and impoverished citizens, the false notion that all has been perfectly planned and the execution is going smoothly.
My fellow citizens, nothing is going on as planned and none of those programmes of deceits is running smoothly. Their acclaimed pursuance of the visions of great leaders like Chief Obafemi Awolowo or Pa Mike Adekunle Ajasin is falsehood in situ. Rather they are turncoats.
Ondo state indigenes with a good grasp of history will ask what happened to Oluwa Glass, Ifon Ceramics, Okitipupa Oil Mill, Oodua Textile Mill, Ire Bricks, Nigeria-Romania Wood Industry(NIROWI),Owena Motels, Ikogosi Warm Spring and the agelong neglect of the exuding Bitumen deposit in Agbabu. These are reminders of wasted and still wasting potentials of the once great Sunshine State.
Lack of nexus between the government and the grassroot, a pointer to poor political and administrative mastery of the Mimiko Adminstration ushered in the Rotimi Akeredolu Government. In spite of the huge monthly federal allocations and the adjoining derivatives, Rotimi Akeredolu has failed to extend free education to secondary education. He has succeeded in hiking tuition of all state owned tertiary institution by 300 percent. The once completely free mother and child hospital initiative of his predecessor has been discontinued.
Rotimi Akeredolu’s self acclaimed industrial revolution projects are non feasible, ordinary faced lifting television projects designed to siphon huge funds into private hands. His lack of focus is evident in the recent venture into the cultivation of cannabis sativa(Indian hemp) for export. What happened to a purposeful research driven improvements on cocoa production, a cash crop that thrives abundantly in the state.
This government is not geared towards instituting any landmark achievement. The hallmark of any administration is the potency of solutions it proffered to fundamental problems.
Any government listing road construction, provision of boreholes, transformers, scholarships, markets and other associated frivolities is a sham! Get it, these are statutory responsibilities of any government.
A self substaining Ondo state can be build by a selfless visionary stateman. The efforts of the founding fathers as well as the industry of the illustrious sons and daughters who had been working assudiously to keep the project alive will forever be cherished.
It’s an understatement to say that Ondo state indigenes are of great discerning minds. It is out in the open that all this selfish, nepoitic and unscrupulous programmes of the Rotimi Akeredolu-led government are of no good or of any good intent to the citizens of ondo state.
The brand new PDP, true to it’s creed, is floating a candidate with a truthfully resourceful and executable programmes aimed at returning the real power to the people. This programmes are design to engage all Ondo citizens across the demography to actively get involved in kick starting a working and sustainable modern economy that can survive spikes and surges. No doubt this state is blessed with tons of potentials viz high and medium skilled human resource and endowment in Agriculture (with it’s unending value chain) and mineral deposits.
This state once thrive on this potentials when technology was not as advanced as it is now. Then the resources was managed by astute minds who are proactive and not just engrossed by substainance of power and lining the pockets of their political Godfathers.
Not even the best vehicles can effectively drive itself, it definitely needs a good driver if you want to prevent a crash. In the words of bishop Mathew Kuka, a damaged vehicle doesn’t need a professor to fix it. It needs a mechanic. The choice of the Peoples Democratic Party in the amiable, resourceful and energetic Honourable TOPE ADEFEMIWA is a well thought out one.
Tope ADEFEMIWA, Aged 43, a descendant of the great former high Chief Lobun of Ile-oluji KINGDOM is born of Parents who are Educationists. His father was the first principal of Ademulegun High School in Bamikemo, Ile-oluji.
A disciplinarian truly occupied with nurturing his Students to excellence. The Mother, a school teacher and a staunch believer in hardwork and diligence. Together, they nurtured little Tope into a brazening Personality that actualises set goals with incredible proficiency.
Tope Adefemiwa started from his very own town Ileoluji in Ondo State where he begin his Primary school Education after which he proceeded to Second level of Education (Secondary school), then to Higher Institution
Presently, he is the CEO of Countryville Properties and Consultancy, A Real Estate Firm he started in 2007. This firm is a commercial real estate development and consultancy company with vast experience in Investment model development and creation of successful real estate projects across the length and breadth of Nigeria and the global space.
As a Realtor, he excelled in taming the vagaries of risk assessments and management involved in the nature of his business. Having a Proven, research-based, investment potential and the ability to stick a head out when others are hiding is no small endeavor. Truly, these experiences, Over the years, built into him, a ‘ no retreat no surrender’ spirit.
His poor background exposed him to many ills that had infiltrated the comfort space of the commons. Faced with such realities at an early age, He grew a distaste for the identified causative factors of a whole lot of anti-social activities predisposing him to humanitarian services and giving him a zeal for meaningful contributions to the life of people around him.
Having realised that a sure way to effect positive and meaningful change as well as giving his people true and quality representation is to be actively involved in partisan politics. This was how the whole political journey began.
Tope Adefemiwa, signified his intention to contest for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2019 on the platform of KOWA Party. His aspiration is to become the next Governor of Ondo state under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) come next year.

With a determination to create a production-driven economy, he aims to greatly improve on the skill sets of both the employed and the teeming energetic youths that will Catalyse the micro, small and medium scale enterprises. He has strategic plans to attract FDI into the state. Ondo state was known to be an Industrial garden before now. Its vast natural resources gave birth to a lot of industries in the 1980s, a lot of which are dead purely due to lack of proactive initiatives on the part of governnent. Revamping existing agricultural settlements by creating enabling environment and full support for farmers in the area of training, inputs, technology transfers and research to make them function in their maximum capacities.
The vision of Honourable Tope Adefemiwa is to transform the Sunshine state to a Haven of opportunities where constructive dreams are realised. A State where business can be conducted without administrative bottlenecks or undue tax burdens. A secured state both for the residents and their investments.
This is a new Ondo state! And it is possible for it had been thoughtfully conceived. The New Ondo state will guarantee the following:
The supremacy of the rule of law.
Equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities amongst the subsisting constituencies.
Healthy independence of the tiers of government.
Community based interactive governance
Free education at all levels.Free up to secondary level.
Health care delivery at government hospitals.
A genuine commitment to resolving the present housing crisis.
To Achieve the above require full cooperation of sons and daughters of Ondo state and positive attitudinal change on the part of all.
We will embrace hardwork and explore our collective intellectual properties we are known for.
Be aware that the era of luggage economy is receding fastly.
Therefore, come Ondo 2020, the choice of Hon. Tope Adefemiwa a k a. MR PERFORMER as the next Executive Governor of the new improved ONDO still remains firm in our minds.
