A SARS officer identified who is identified as Oya and allegedly killed the Nigerian footballer, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, also known as Kaka in Ogun State has reportedly been dismissed.
The Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday has recommended that the operative of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad who allegedly involved in the killing of the Assistant Captain of Remo Stars Football Club, Tiamiyu Kazeem, be dismissed.
According to the command, the operative acted unprofessionally.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had on Monday asked the Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Anthony Ogbizi, to investigate the matter.
The late Tiamiyu’s family on Monday insisted that he was murdered and thereby called for justice on the matter.
Since the incident death of the footballer, there had been protests in parts of the state on Monday as residents took to the streets to show their displeasures over the matter.
According to reports, officer Oyato is said to be notorious for scouting perceived internet fraud operators, also known as “yahoo boys” in order to obtain money from them.
Reports also have it that he has amassed wealth for himself from proceeds of his extortion of internet fraudsters arrested within his jurisdiction.
He is said to have in his possession fleet of cars, some of which have special plate numbers in his name.
On the fateful day, he was reported to have angrily forced Kaka out of the moving vehicle, ramming him into another oncoming vehicle because Kaka had identified himself as a footballer but not a “yahoo boy”.
