Oyo state government has announced a new resumption date for the third term 2021/2022 academic session.
The Honourable Commissioner, Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdu-Raheem, in a statement, made available to journalist in his office, on Wednesday, hinting that academic School calendar for public and private schools in the state will take off on Thursday, 5th May, 2022.
While making clarifications, the Commissioner explained that the students had proceeded on the second term terminal holiday since Friday, 8th April,2022 and ought to resume for the new term on the 2nd of May.
He cited the declaration of 2nd, 3rd and 4th May, as Workers’ day, Id El Fitri holidays respectively.
Barrister Abdu-Raheem said “we enjoin both public and private schools to comply with the resumptions’ directive and advise parents and guardians to encourage their wards to return to school, as academic academic activities, will commence immediately on Thursday 5th May, 2025.”
He had earlier, called on teachers in the state to resume academic work immediately they resume.
