These are not the best of times for Nigerians because of the recent plane crash that took with it Nigeria’s Chief of Army State Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, as well as 10 other brilliant officers, among them four young crew members.
Among the crew members was Flt Lt Alfred Ayodeji Olufade, a bright young officer who had a great future ahead of him. As a matter of fact, a short two months ago, Flt Lt Olufade’s household was full of joy and laughter when he got married to his heartthrob, Miss Onyema Jennifer Attah.
Miss Attah is the gorgeous daughter of a former Coordinator of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah. She is the Director of National Youth Service Corps, South West Area Office with its headquarters located in Osogbo, Osun State.
There were expectations that he will live many years in happiness and have beautiful children with the love of his life. As a matter of fact, he had many great plans with his new wife. But unfortunately, those beautiful plans have been cut short by death.
His family have been left inconsolable by his demise and his wife is drenched in tears and emotions. All the dreams he shared with his new companion are all gone. All she has now is the loving memories of the short time they shared together as couples.
Even his friends have been left heart broken by the young officer’s passing and they have taken to the social media to share their grief.

The Ill-fated Nigerian Airforce plane crashed in Kaduna yesterday as the COAS was on his way from Abuja to an assignment in Kaduna. As a matter of fact, the plane successfully landed in Kaduna, where the COAS attended a religious service.
After the religious service he was in high spirit as he rush to continue his journey to his final destination. But unfortunately, the pilot lost control of the flight due to a sudden change in weather.
The plane crashed at about 6pm along with the COAS. Seven other senior officers died in the crash as well as four crew members.
The President in his reaction, regretted the untimely death of the COAS, but promised that his death will not be in vain. He described him as a hero who paid the ultimate prize for the peace of his country.
