Following a speculations that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu owns the Oriental Hotel and other properties in the Lekki axis of Lagos, the former state governor has denied the claim.
Tinubu in a documentary on his achievements as Lagos State Governor disclosed that most properties like Oriental Hotels, Civic Center and other properties in Lagos linked to him are not his. He added that he only provided the environment for investors to invest on the Lekki Corridor.
Who is then the owner of Lagos Oriental Hotel?
A man has posted on Nairaland and gave answer to the poser.
He wrote: “I saw a post on a trend saying tinubu is the owner of Lagos Oriental Hotel.
“I was a worker at WEMPCO Group which happens to be the owner of Lagos Oriental Hotel. I worked in the purchasing department and I was among the team that supply everything the Hotel needed ranging from food, electrical, even toothpick.
“It came as a shock to me when they say tinubu owns it. Tinubu can’t be the owner of everything in Lagos.
“Lagos Oriental Hotel is own by the Tung Family”, he submitted.
