Popular Yoruba human rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo Igboho aka Sunday Igboho has sent message of appreciation to all those leaders in Yoruba land who supported him during his ‘fight’ for Yoruba emancipation from Fulani invasion of their land.
The socialite who couldn’t hide his joy expressed appreciation to the following leaders, saying they are the ones who stood for him and are constantly warning federal government not to attempt to arrest him.
•Former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
•Wole Soyinka
•Oni of Ife.
•Alaafin of Oyo
•Oba of Lagos.
•Aare Ona Kakanfo, Gani Adams.
•Former Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose
•Alfa Akeugbagold.
•Femi Fani-Kayode.
•Dele Momodu.
•Dino Melaye.
He also expressed appreciation to those Nigerians living in diaspora who have returned home to fight a common purpose. He didn’t forget all Nigerians back home.
He, however, pleaded with his thousands of supporters not to ridicule any Yoruba leader as they too aren’t happy with status quo.
We could recall that Igboho had penultimate Friday visited Igangan in Ibarapa North LGA where he gave a seven-day ultimatum to Seriki Fulani of Oyo State and criminal herdsmen to leave the area as a result of incessant kidnapping, killing, raping and collection of ransoms from innocent Nigerians.
And last Friday, he went there to check if they had complied with his order. But later on Friday, some youths allegedly set Seriki’s house on fire losing his 11 cars and livestock in the unfortunate incident. This prompted both state and federal government to order for his arrest.
