Tolulope Arotile, the Nigeria’s first female helicopter combat pilot has been laid to rest in Abuja.
The burial of the Nigeria’s first female helicopter combat pilot, Tolulope Arotile was buried at the military cemetery in Abuja, amid tears.
Recalled the 24-year-old flying officer was recently hit by a car driven by an ex-classmate in Kaduna and she died after sustaining head injury.
Present during the burial was the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; the House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla and the family members of the deceased.
Until her death, Arotile was the first female combat helicopter pilot of NAF.
Arotile, who died on July 14 in Kaduna, is being buried in strict compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, Air Force spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said.
