…warns students against acts of indiscipline, lawlessness

Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), under the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, has graciously granted the appeal from the students for a re-opening of registration portal to allow financially contrained students who could not pay their school fees within the stipulated period, register and be allowed to sit for the on-going first semester examinations of the 2019/2020 Academic session. The exams had kicked off on March 15, 2021.
According to a release by the Special Adviser to the VC on Media Matters, Wole Balogun, a memo from the office of the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Olatunbosun S. E Odusanya, which disseminated the information to the University community on Thursday, March 18, said the gracious re-opening of the portal shall begin from Friday, March 19 and last till 12 pm on Monday, March 22, to allow students who had failed to register their courses as a result of financial constraints, to do so within the time of grace.
The memo reads in part: “The University Management at its meeting held on Monday 15th March, 2021 considered appeal for reopening of the students’ Registration portal for first Semester, 2019/2020 Academic session.
” This is to inform all students that the University Management has magnanimously granted appeal for re-opening of the school portal to enable students who are yet to pay their sundry fees and complete registration procedure for first semester 2019/2020 academic session with effect from Friday, 19th March, 2021 to 12:00 pm Monday , 22nd , March 2021.
” Meanwhile, all students are to note that henceforth, such appeal for re-opening of portal outside the period stipulated for Registration in the academic calendar, would not be entertained.
“Furthermore, students are also advised to avoid any act of indiscipline and lawlessness on campus as such misconduct will no longer be condoned by the University.”
