Reacting to the gallant fight against the spate of killings and criminal activities by suspected Fulani herdsmen, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Aare Gani Adams has hailed the Yoruba activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Ighoho for his laudable intervention.
Aare Adams in a video interview with Legit.NG on Wednesday described the new Yoruba hero as a paragon virtue saying many people may think he is illiterate but he has native intelligence.
He said: “people of Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa put pressure on Sunday Ighoho because they know he is famous and has security advantage, and a reason he was called to assist them.
“He called our attention to his decision and I say anybody that goes against him; is enemy of Yorubaland, because Yorubas are in pain over the issue of insecurity. Now, if you clampdown on Sunday Ighoho, hundreds of ‘Sunday Ighohos’ are ready to come out because we now realize we have to protect ourselves by all means.
“In all interviews he granted, he hailed all Obas and Yoruba leaders. People may think Ighoho is illiterate but he has native intelligence”, Aare Gani Adams says.
He added that in Yorubaland, Yorubas are the problems of themselves noting that Yoruba internal problem is 75 percent while Fulani problem is only 25 percent.
