Rep. Abass Agboworin, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate-elect, has promised more dividends of democracy to the people of Ibadan South-East/North-East Federal Constituency.
Agboworin made the promise on Sunday in Ibadan, while commenting on his re-election victory at the Saturday’s supplementary election.
He ascribed his victory to the will of God and support of his constituents, saying that his re- election was “a call for more commitment to improve the wellbeing of his constituents.
The lawmaker listed some of his achievements in the first term in office to include: provision of mobile clinic, ambulances for the door-to-door healthcare delivery and free education.
Agboworin said that he facilitated the establishment of Air Force base in Ibadan, employment opportunities and empowerment programmes, among others.
“I came home after my retirement from the United States Military to give true representation to the people of Ibadan South-East/North-East Federal Constituency.
“Each time I visited Nigeria, when I was in the United States Army, I don’t like the situations on ground.
“So, after my retirement, I decided to come home and contribute to the betterment of our people.
“So far, so good, I believe people have seen the difference and I know they have noticed my sincerity to serve them better and this led to my second term victory,” Agboworin said.
