Title of the poem: Legends never die
To the sailor that paddles on a stormy sea
A warrior that fought with courage in his battle field
How should I explain the grief of losing a hero?
How exactly will my pen tell about the sorrow
Legends never die
Why aren’t the early morning breeze flowing
Tell me why the counts of hours keeps slowing
I recall those years, how you turned
A atrocious jungle that battles with struggle
To the modern and peaceful state we dreamt of
How you’ve motivated the children in the hood
To strive hard there is still something better and good
We never knew you will soon sail to an unknown world
Never can the tears on our painful eyes turn the waves of the river back
Neither can you come back with our words
The saliva in our mouths is nothing compared to the river bank
Deep tears flow on our eye with severe grief and torment
A national hero his gone with the winds.
