A couple has been found dead at their apartment in Ojigbo Crescent, off Sapele-Effurun Road, Uvwie LGA of Delta State after reportedly committed suicide.
The couple, 33-year-old Emmanuel Oshiotu and Amaka Okafor, 25, said to have found dead by neighbours on Thursday, February 25. It was gathered that a poisonous substance and a knife were found beside their bodies indicating suicide, or maybe murder-suicide.
According to report, a neighbor said at about 5:00 a.m., Emmanuel was heard screaming for help. On breaking into his room, he was found foaming from his mouth, while his girlfriend’s body laid a few distance from him.
It was gathered that a friend who was present at the scene said they wrote on social media notifying of their mission to commit suicide claiming they are tired of life, a reason he rushed to the scene of the incident.
The lovers were rushed to the Central Hospital, Warri, where they were both confirmed dead and bodies later deposited in the morgue.
